GOVERNANCE

The 8th Fire Lodge asserts its inherent lineal governance authority, derived from the Creator (Gichi-Manidoo), to uphold and implement the Great Law (Gichi-inaakonigewin). This authority derives governance from divine mandate. Our sovereignty is rooted in our sacred relationship with the land (Aki), the water (Nibi), our people (Anishinaabek), and our spiritual traditions (Midewiwin) under the Creator (Gichi-Manidoo).
