Phillips - Tornado Relief Fund

BEFORE

My name is Wendy Phillips, I am of the Bald Eagle Clan, I am Anishinaabe from Wasauksing First Nation. I reside outside of Havelock, ON which was hit with a tornado on Saturday May 21, 2022. My family and I have devoted our lives to our cultural and language revitalization. Due to the damage caused by Saturday’s storm we need new outdoor ceremonial lodges, structures, equipment and resources. There is also damage to our home and we are currently without power and unsure when it will be restored.

The ceremonies that we do include pipe ceremonies, healing ceremonies, sweat lodges ceremonies, full moon ceremonies, naming ceremonies, rites of passage ceremonies, vision quest ceremonies, tobacco ceremonies, sweetgrass ceremonies, weddings, funerals, and condolences.  These ceremonies cannot currently happen on-site as we do not have lodges, equipment or resources to provide them until repairs can be made. We need your help right now.
